Position: Architectural Designer
At Custom Design/Build I was able to start building on the foundation that Lawrence Technological University had given me. The responsibilities I had included everything from design of residential remodels and additions, to controlling the marketing budgets and creating ads and newsletters. I got some experience managing projects and making sure we were keeping up with our schedule.
I believe that Custom Design/Build was a great place to start my career because not only did I get the real world design experience but I also got to see it all come together and realize how everything is really built. Being able to go out to the site and look at the progress really helped me see how to put together better construction documents for the carpenters to use in the field.
Inside you will see some of the projects I was able to work on and design while at Custom Design/Build. You will see a new master bathroom, a whole house remodel, exterior upgrade and a plan analysis. While I worked on many projects, I believe that these three show a great range of the things I am capable of doing in both design and presentation.
